Since the 1980s, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has been recording her choreography on film. The two videos are not documentaries of her productions, but cinematic versions of her art.

Filmed at the RITO School in Belgium, filmmaker and composer Thierry De Mey creates links between the austere architecture of the school and the repetitive movements of the four dancers battling with each other. His develops a new mix of space and rhythm by using aggressive angle changes, long moving shots and fast cuts.

Rosas, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Peter Greenaway, was the recipient of the 1992 Dance Screen Award. Filmed at the Ghent Opera House, this black and white film, set to the music of Béla Bartok's Sonata for Violin, portrays the ambiguity of love.
